98 civic ex solenoid valve and oil pressure switch.
I need help with my solenoid, my check light engine is on which is the oil pressure switch. now I didn't change it yet but I wanna know if that's what cost it to leak oil from my solenoid. Cause I just replace a new gasket on my solenoid. idk I'm lost pelase help...
Are you asking if that is causing your leak on the vtec spool valve?
The oil pressure switch can leak a little oil, but most of the leak will be from valve to the engine.

No, I jump the connector, and it's 22 which is the oil pressure switch... I replace now it's gone but... oil is leaking from the solenoid, looks like from the block and the solenoid...
your saying from the block and the solenoid? I don't get it... is this a major problem to work on? cause freaking oil keep leaking from the back side where the solenoid is and it's all over my transmission and block and under it. please help....
This is simple, there are 3 bolts, you will see them on the side of the spool valve, take them off, remove the valve, you will see a 3 hole gasket like a snowman, peel it off, put on the new one, fits one way, reinstall, do not go crazy tighten it.
DAM, I think I went a little crazy on the tight. OMG. :/ freaking oil is all over my transmission. FML
gotta get a new gasket then huhh? let me know please.

Do not tighten too too much you can crack the spool valve.
yeah I got a new gasket for it, but I think I over tighten it. First thing I kinda work my way around it, softly and then and little more and I keep going around but then I tighten to were it can't move anymore. Which I think I super tight it, :/
