Default can someone give me some advices about tig welding

So heres the thing, i bought a tig welder about a month ago, so im still learning, and im solving my issues step by step, but i cant figure out why is this happening to me.... my welds look like swiss cheese from time to time and sometimes they look "grainy" anybody has an idea

all of the welds were made with same settings, no filler, but i dont know amperage since i was using the pedal id say around 120A, material is 4mm steel.
first and second weld, look awful, espescially second and third looks decent i guess:S

P.s:excuse my english its not my native language

That looks like poor gas coverage or you are not degreasing properly the workpiece.

Other than that....it looks quite OK

gas coverage or material contam.

also for that thickness of material you should add more filler.

I don't understand. This looks like stick welding, but you mention no filler?

What welding method are you using?

Your workpiece is filthy. Clean clean clean, and then clean again before you weld.

i used TIG method, basically just melting two pieces together

i clened both pieces with flap disc prior welding, but it might be that was not enough. ill train and try to improve, thanks to everybody wjo took the time and tried to help could also be gas coverage since im using cup #5 and it seems really small to me.

go to your local metal supermarket and get some clean fresh metal to practice. they should have a ton of little odds and ends that they will either give you, or sell for nearly nothing.

beats trying to clean old metal to practice.

Use some acetone to clean after you flap disc. Get a gas lens. Speed up your travel.
