Default beginner welder help!!

i just picked up a mig welder 2 weeks ago for the hell of it because i always wind up needing something welded while doing stuff on my car so i figured ill try to learn so i can do it my self...... my question how do you get your weld to look like dominos (idk how to explain it) like one over lapping the one before because all of my welds so far look like ugly *** logs and is it possible to get your welds to look like that with a mig??

Only works on thicker sections, but you can pause, whip forward, come back a little in front of the last puddle, pause, repeat. MIG welds aren't generally supposed to look like TIG welds, production welds usually look like a rope.
