Default GSR Turbo Setup Suggestions and Expectations

Im now about to try and get into the boosted life but this is new to me so I came here for information and advisement....
Looking to boost a GSR.. nothing has been bought yet towards the setup.. Need a little more information..
Im looking to keep the car a daily driver.. just have some fun with it...I want to keep ps and a/c... I dont want to do any block work (at least not now) Looking to get about 250-260whp.. Im considering the t3/t4 setup but im not sure if that will be too small..

Any input and suggestions for me as a starter will help...

t3/t4oe 50 trim.... or you could go Ball bearing and get the GT28 , You didnt mention youre budget tho. There a big difference in price between them

this seems good for youre goal

The NEW GO-AUTOWORKS Street Turbo System is our entry level system offered for those that are looking for a great kit, that has good power potential at an affordable price. Great for stock block setups! The system is capable or 200-300hp. this kit uses T3 60 .48a/r

The best way is to start on the FAQs in the forum section (highlighted in grey) to get started. Learn as much as you can, and build a perspective list of things you need. Knowing the current health status of your engine is paramount if you don't plan to build on it. This imeans leakdown/compression testing, mechanical readiness, etc.

Then, start looking at setups from the GS-R that are similar to your goals and used. Never use PSI as a determining factor of what you want. Use a power level that you feel comfortable with. You can always turn up the boost later if needed. The search engine here is not that good, but key work GS-R turbo Honda-tech via Google, and you'll find better answers. There's even an entire thread of GS-R Stock block builds that are available in this forum. Use Google to find that thread.

Have a budget in mind. This is isn't slapping together another bolt on, even if a kit says it is. Once you have that budget add 50% to that budget for the little things.

Lastly, No Godspeed parts or any useless nonsense from E-bay. If the deal looks too good to be true, it definitely is.

As kbouchard1092 stated, the Go-Autowerks setups are a great way to start. The turbo choices are many (a 50 "trim" is just a suggestion of about 3-5 units that can work with the stock block. That's why I suggested using the GSR Stock block thread to determine an area of turbocharger to use.)

Once you have answered those questions, get back with us. Use this thread as a segway.
