H22A Turbo Hard to start on cold days?
Hey does anyone with a boosted car have a problem with cold starts like this morning for example about 46 ish degrees?? I went to crank the car over started right away but then stumbled a few times and then shut off.. then I waited a second primed it and cranked it over again and it stated running right away?? but it sounds like it has a miss until the temp gauge warms up and then it drives perfectly fine!? its been doing this only in the morning when it is really cold? so the last few days or so any Ideas? fresh build, fresh tune, fresh plugs and wires.
There is a formula with Reliability and Performance somewhere out there. As performance goes up, reliability goes down. I don't own a boosted car but this sounds like a pretty normal problem.

hmm maybe so.. its only cold weather that affects it thats what i dont understand any other day it I crank it over and its fine but when it drops to 30-40 degrees it cranks over right away then stumbles and dies the second time I crank it fires right away and runs fine?
its just the start up that rough after that the rest of the day its fine?

That's usually what happens when an engine isn't getting enough fuel. It's a known fact that gasoline doesn't evaporate as easily when it is cold outside. Boosted setups need fuel delivered faster than non boosted so I am wondering if it is cold fuel or an OEM fuel pump just not able to prime quick enough.
I'm going to put money on the tune. Why? Because when it's extremely hot outside I have the same problem. My car was tuned in cold weather.
