Default fresh z6 not starting

I have just dropped in an a6/z6 in my si. Chipped ecu shows no codes, has spark, has fuel pressure, plenty of starting power, is timed right as far as i can tell. Last weekend after a few tries it ran on its own for a few seconds it quit.. Sounded like it was running on a couple cylinders..

What im worried about is the fact that when i bought the head it had been milled some, and i had the machine shop resurface it. He took off .035...... Do i need an adj cam gear?

Anybody with some tricks or suggestions please chime in

up...got it to where it misfires like it has no compression. but it has brand new rings. if my timing is off that much my compression could be zero lol. im about to run a test on it. and picking up a tru time cam gear saturday and see what happens.

Why would the shop take that much off? That head must have been destroyed... Are you sure your mechanical timing is correct? Is it back-firing? What OBD are you running - why did the ECU get chipped?

Idk man i told him to resurface it and thats how i got it back.. I kept the head because its been port and polished and alot of other work. And no its a chipped p28 with all the wiring done correctly.. Its misfiring like theres no compression. And ive triple checked the timing. I picked up an adjustable cam gear yesterday. Not knowing what to even set it to..lol

Im to the point of trading the head for a stock y8 one since i have intentions of boost down the road. Either that or some low *** comp rod/pistons..
