b18a1 short in wiring?
so i just swapped my b18a1 into my crx, put the key in turn to acc and it looks good, lights come on and all then when starting it just clicks once, like a dead battery, but it's no dead. my corner lights and cluster lights stay on without them being turned on so i'm thinking theres a short in the wiring.. has anybody ran into this before does it sound like a short?
i'm going to try and post a video of the cluster when starting so yall can see.

If the battery is good and connected to the starter and good grounds etc, your starter should be cranking.
If it is not, check battery connections and check that the solenoid is receiving 12v+ when you move the key to "cranking position". If it is hooked up properly, getting 12v+ at the solenoid, the starter may be locked up. You can try to tap the starter with a hammer while a friend tries cranking the car to see of you can get it freed up and cranking.

i just found one of my grounds half on so tomarrow im going to change the wire since its old anyways and give it a go, if it doesnt work i'll try that.
I got some new grounds tapped on the starter and still doing the same thing. Now when I go to crank the ecu code light comes on and stays on until I let off the clutch. Im getting power and my grounds are good so what else could it be?
batterys in the front, and i have a volt meter, battery reads 12.5 without being connected, will check more tomorrow. but i even tried putting jumper cables on it thought it was low at first and didnt work.
as far as the wiring goes i previously swapped it to mpfi. everything was setup and running on my d15b2 except i didn't re-do my harness i just ran some loose wires before.
this time i opened up my harness and i ran 4 new wires, 2 from the dizzy, and 2 from the other injectors, down to the passenger side shock tower plug, soldered them up, tapped them and all. had a couple other plugs i had to lengthen so did that, then taped up my harness again. i ran my 4 wires from the ecu to the 4 wires i now have loose and then put male/female butt connectors to make it plug and play. i bought new grounds for the negative term. and engine ground, everyhings in the right place too

Every starter problem ive ever had was with my grounds, or the positive wire. when Like the other guy said see what volts your getting too your battery when you try to crank it and what volts your getting at your starter. Check the postive wire too. Also you checked the wires on the starter to make sure they were tight right?
Is your starter cranking? Y/N
Is your starter receiving the signal to crank? (read post#2) Y/N
Have you tried to fire the starter manually? (jump the big + wire on starter to solenoid to see if it moves)
Check your wiring, one wire at a time with your meter. check for continuity to ground to see if a wire is grounding out. check to see that each connection at the ECU goes where it is supposed to go in the engine bay. then check to see that the appropriate voltage is present.
