Weird Battery issue (Noob move) did i fried my cables?
Okay , so i went to change out my starter the other day and i forgot to disconnect the battery. well i was removing the ground wire that is on the starter.I didnt push it far enough away from the starter itself that when the ground hit the starter soleniod huge circuit sparks happen ! noob move !! i then removed the power from the battery and this caused it to stop, nothing looked bad or damage i check all the fuses looked fine, after i installed the new starter in check all cables are good , went to turn on the car i got a click and no lights on cluster no headlights nothing basically no power ! , i doubled check my wiring all looked good , i played around with the battery connector terminals went to start the car and it fired up ,
so today i went to turn on the car fired up , got to my job fine went to lunch and that click again i moved the battery wires a bit and the car fired up ?,
so basically did i fried my battery cables???? or ground??

sounds like a grounding issue to me.. check the ground on the tranny and all other grounds that you messed with.

Make sure the batt cables are clean with no corrosion and tight. if the terminals are old replace them.

id start with tranny ground, and their is a ground on the top of the head by the driver headlight... if they are regular sized ones (10 gauge wire or so) change that to 4 gauge wire (like from a amp kit) and that is the best grounds u can have
