so i stripp'd a bolt on my solenoid when i was changing my spool gasket bout a month ago..all of a sudden it started to leak mad crazy yesterday..I try to take out the bolt that was strip,but it just won't budge. I was wondering if i can use a DA (b18)solenoid for a week or two till i get my skunk2 solenoid.will it work..thanks for reading.

 

You could if DA's had a vtec solenoid.

I hope you mean a b18c1/5 vtec solenoid. If so then yes they are interchangable

you stripped off the portion that bolts up top, right? not the portion that bolts to the head?

 

Hmmm... How quickly we forget about the B17A1... a rare and under appreciated engine.

 

I didn't forget about the b17, re read the post and look where he stated "DA B18" from my understanding all DA's that come with a B18 from factory are Non-Vtec

 

My comment wasn't COMPLETEY directed at you, but you are right on when you say the "DA" chassis didn't come with a B18 VTEC...
