ive searched all over and still cant find what im looking for,

my question is

the 99 civic i own now has a d16z6 manual in it. it had a d16y7 auto

they hacked the engine harness so bad i need to buy a new one

queston since it was converted to manual do i need to buy a d16y7 auto or manual harness?

and also can i buy a auto or manual ex harness with vtec so i dont have to pin my vtec in?

any help would be great thanks!!

 

preferably get the manual harness for the engine, only because the manual uses a 2 wire IACV i believe?

and the cabin harness is different cause there is no netural safety switch or "key popper" only the clutch pedal safety switch

 

all y7's use a 3 wire IACV y8 auto's are 3 wire also and the reverse light's are different in the auto/manual harnesses

 

so basically now that its converted to manual. and has the vtec engine. get a manual harness? i already got the distributor adapter and fuel injector adapters from rywire. manual y8 engine harness, plug everything in and it should be good? im not missing anything am i?

You don't have to get a harness, and it just makes it easier to wire in vtec, knock, and convert to 3 wire-2wire. However you can still do it yourself. You will still have to wire in reverse lights I believe, since they are in the bigger plug that connects to auto shifter, same with cruise.
