Default 3 sensors not ready, failed inspection. HELP

Got my car inspected and these three sensors came back "not ready"
Catalyst
Evap
o2 Sens
The shop told me to drive it a while and come back, well it's been a month and all three sensors still are "not ready"
Any idea what I need to do to get my car inspected?

Check the fuse that supplies power to the ECU when the car is off. After a month, those sensors should report ready if the ECU isn't being regularly reset.

Thanks I'll try that. Car is a 2000 IntegraLS, where can I find the fuse?

Going purely off memory here, but it should be under the hood (not under the dash). Should also provide power to the radio, so if it is burned out you should also lose radio presets.

It could also just be the wire, if the fuse is fine.

CEL? If so, pull the codes.

Otherwise, I'm out of ideas on this issue.

if im not mistaken the evap goes bad in these cars. i have code 1457 and from what i have read i need to replace the charcoal canister. If you dont have a CEL i dont think it would be the O2 sensor or canister though. What do they mean by not ready? Is everyting plugged in?

Well I have been unable to get the radio to power since I bought the car so maybe that's it?

As far as "not ready" it's what the failed inspection sheet the shop printed me says. Apparently these sensors become "ready" when the car is driven in a specific way. IE: 5 miles at 60mph or somethin like that.

After an ECU reset, it takes some time for the ECU to record enough information to consider the sensor "ready".

Does the car have an exhaust leak?that would prevent the cat n o2 monitors being ready and as for the evaporate there is a small leak like gas cap, purge valve, canister or lines running from canister.it does take a trip on the highway and 2 drive cycles to ready monitors.

Any of those conditions should throw a CEL on an OBD2 car.

I had to reset my CEL daily for 2 weeks due to an old gas cap... Kept reporting an evap system malfunction.

My CEL is not on. I'll have it checked anyways.
I'm going to investigate that fuse, would it prevent the radio from powering, or only remove presets like you mentioned?

I believe (but am certainly not positive) that it should only affect the preset memory.

The radio should have a separate higher power wire for power when it is turned on.

Howdy,
I don't want to jack your thread but I have B18C 99 EX Civic with a similar problem. I'm using my Civic's EVAP system, but they are all similar from what I've read. Basically my EVAP system never goes into a ready state, and throws no codes.

I've been reading it is a known issue at Honda, certain climates wreak havoc on their older designs. In some cases they "good faith" replace it, but I have low expectations for that on such an old car.

I'm going to try replacing my EVAP purge solenoid first since I have one handy. If that doesn't work, then I move on to the canister...

The manual has a slew of tests you can perform. Worst case scenario it could turn into a weekend project

If you, [peAches yO] have a stock radio, then yes, you would only lose presets, if your radio is aftermarket then it would not turn on at all, [most aftermarket "high-power" HUs]

Your ECU/ECM and radio memory fuse should be a 7.5A marked "backup" in engine bay fuse box, [most Honda/Acura].

If the fuse is blown, [and you have an aftermarket HU] do not wire HUs 12V constant, [yellow] to the stock radio harness 12V constant, run a fused lead from the batt. instead, don't forget to cap off the stock 12V constaant. 94

If your sensors are not ready they have to meet certain criteria to run... You might have a fault in the system as sometime if the O2 sensor can not run then the Evap will not run. Some times the temp sensor has alot of things to do with them. If the temp sensor isnt ready correctly then other sensors will not run. ITs not a fuse, you need to make the sensors meet a criteria... Call honda and find out what you have to do to get the sensors to run and become ready.

Your radio could be the wire from the fuse you need to get an DVOM (can get from harbor fright for free and there not to bad) and test the power wire at the connector and also check the ground.

Went to the Honda dealership today, scanned for codes again. Now the o2 temp sensor is not ready as well.

So 4 sensors in total are reading "not ready" o2 temp sensor, o2 sensor, evap, and catalyst. NO CEL.

I explained how I've disconnected battery, driven the car highway and city for last 2 weeks, and the only thing they said was that I need to contact DPS and let them know my car will not ready the sensors......

Can anyone help me find what criteria I have to meet for the o2 temperature sensor/o2 to become ready?

I tried cold start, let it idle for 5 min then 40-55mph for 2 minutes fallowed by decel to 35mph on closed throttle, then accelerate from 50-60mph on full throttle. Didn't do aything.

I DID go to the dealership but they were no help.
