Default Uneven firing

I think my cylinders aren't firing evenly. Its very light and is only noticible in low RPM's. Again, its not always noticible. I can only notice it during acceleration below 2500 rpm in 1st or 2nd gear. I havn't pulled the plugs yet to check them, but how likely is it that i need to replace the ignition coil?

Hard to say without hearing it. I doubt it's firing unevenly, but rather it's misfiring intermittently. It could be the EGR ports are clogged a bit?

Break booster vacume line. You'd be better off to just clean the egr ports. MHO.

and btw i have a 98. I've only seen egr cleaning threads about 97 and below, so maybe egr port clogging isn't an issue for 98+??

I noticed this thread

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-1990-2002-2/how-replace-internal-seal-distributor-internal-oil-leak-2214402/

I am in fact leaking oil from what seems to be the distributor seal. I think its only leaking from the outer seal, but how can you tell if its coming from the inner seal?

Remove the distributor cap and there would be oil inside the distributor housing. There is a small weep hole at the base of the distributor (facing down toward the trans) that would have oil dripping from it as well.

I replaced the o-ring on the shaft of the distributor, which seemed to help, but i'm still leaking from somewhere. I talked to a mechanic and he said that there is an additional o-ring that is located inside the block, behind the distributor. Is this true?????

If you unbolt the distributor and pull it out from the engine there is an O ring there as well.

OK so i've been dealing with this issue for a while now, and it is significantly worse. The uneven firing turned into zero power. Sometimes i completely loose power, and the only way to regain it is to floor it, or let off the pedal and accelerate again. When it looses power, it feels like there is a huge deadspot in the middle 80% of the throttle range. It works fine sometimes, then starts acting up. I'm constantly having to floor it everywhere, staying in high gear so ppl don't think i'm speed racer.

I thought it was the tps acting up, so i ordered a new throttle body off ebay, and its still doing the same thing with the new TB. The TB came with the tps and map sensor all intact.

Is it possible i'm having fuel pressure issues?? If that was the case, wouldn't starting the car become difficult?? Cause it starts right up every time..... and at WOT it performs like it should...

I also put half a can of seafoam through the brake booster, and a full one in the tank. Didn't change a thing.

Check your throttle position sensor. Sounds like it has a dead spot in it.
