v-afc wiring how-to?
i did a search and there was nothing really helpful. ok a 90 crx si with a 97 single cam vtec motor. using the si dist, tranny, ecu. we got a v-afc for it to control the vtec and tried to wire it up tonite and nothing would work right. it says to run the red and orange wire into IG POWER? what the heck is that. we tried to run it to the power wire on the ecu like it shows and nothing works, it makes the car run like crap(real bad fuel smell + sputtering motor). both the black and brown wires are grounded to the ecu ground. we have the pink(V-AFC vtec output) wire going to the vtec solenoid. i just cant figure it out, the one time we tried it the vtec was on THE WHOLE TIME, and im thinking that it couldnt be good. has anybody ever done this before that can help me out with the wiring. any opinions are greatly appriciated. thanks for your time!-

ig power = ignition power which means hook the wires up to a power source that gets turned on when the ignition switch is turned (radio, gvac conbtrols, cig lighter, etc.).
Hey lemme get this right you have a PM6 ECU and getting ready to run aApex i V-AFC well your in luck just added mine monday. Here you go on the wiring diagram http://www.geocities.com/bing_bong916/vtec_cont3.html
