I'm gunna install a vafc 2 in my 93 civic dx(D15B P08).I want to use it just to monitor engine stats and for the green light that turns red when vtec engages,not to actually change the fuel,air or vtec engagement point.
Here is the basic wiring diagram:

So here is my questions:

Whats the vtc ,tdc and vtm wires for?

Since I only want the vafc 2 to read when vtec engages do I just splice the purple wire to the vtec solenoid wire and leave the pink wire disconnected?

Are the pressure signal wires required or can I leave them disconnected since I wont be changing when vtec engages?

i think vtc and tdc are for newer vehicles with i-vtec.. and the vtm is only on certain ecus
