Default gsr brake upgrade

i have a 96 gsr sedan i plan to autocross this is my setup rite now and i feel i need more brake
-5 lug conversion all itr
-abs delete with 4040 prop valve and oem rs stock lines
-1 inch master cylinder

the setup im looking to upgrade to and need opinions on:
-s2000 11.8 rotors
-rl twin piston calipers
-ss lines

Notes: ive read alittle about this setup but all of the setups i saw had the rotors redrilled to 4x100 and using dx civic knuckels.

so here is my question is there better rotors i can run? "looking to run 16inch rims max"
and can i run the rl calipers front and rear " found a deal on all 4"
also what issues will i run into putting this setup together? this is my daily so it would have to be done in a weekend time span no room for issues

What tires are you running where you can't lock up ITR brakes with good pads on a AutoX course?

^^^Truth,

Your current ITR brakes should be plenty sufficient. My opinion is that BBK's shouldn't even be looked into unless someone plans on boost, and even then you'd be surprised what good pads/rotors/and lines can do. The ITR Caliper is fantastic...don't be so quick to ditch it.

To answer your questions...I'm a firm believer in Brembo blanks, that drilled and slotted stuff doesn't do much. I'd say the only real rotor upgrade would be a 2-piece rotor. And they're damn expensive. Defiantly don't think the rear setup will work w/out some major modification, if you do that I'm in for updates. LOL

Before you jump into a modified brake setup, have you considered better brake pads and a brake fluid with a higher boiling point? Those are the first areas most everyone would start with if planning to run laps on a track.

If those areas have been covered and you still feel you need better braking, maybe better tires would help? Brakes are intended to slow or stop the wheels from turning, but if the tires have no grip there's nothing for the wheels to grab against.

The ITR brake setup is sufficient enough for most track duty. But to answer your questions, I doubt you will be able to run rear RL calipers. The fronts can be converted in a day as long as you have all the parts ready to be installed before you start disassembling your brakes.

OP are you autoxing or running HPDEs? The stock brakes with good pads will be fine for autox. The ITR setup with good pads will be fine for HPDE.
