Default What u guys think about these "CTR" cams?

Looking for a set of CTR cams for my stock JDM b16a2 and just saw these on Ebay. To me these checkout according to the pics posted from other users on how to compare etc. Here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/civic...item415cc42f3e

You can get those cams for a better price on the HT marketplace or other forums..

There were some earlier type R and later type R cams, try to get the later ones if you can.

Most "stage 1" cams are going to have similar specs. If you're boosted, GSR, Type R or Stage 1 cams are excellent for the money. All motor, definitely at least read into the gains of stage 2 cams. All motor, you want more valve overlap and duration to help flow better. Stage 1 cams / Type R cams are just a little on the mild side for that...but about perfect for boost.

Price is a little high, i have seen them cheaper.

There was a guy a while ago selling for $250. Ebay isn't always the best place to buy things, sometimes the prices are considerbly higher.

first of all, what are your goals just to make a few hp? or....


check hondamarketplace.com for ctr cams, i'm positive you'll find a more bargained price.

I've seen them cheaper but in all honesty I wouldn't put a set of used cams in my car if they were givin to me but that's just me>
