My car is a little over a year old, i have i/h/e and since I've had the car the
c.converter has gone out and recently the vtec is all messed up. Right when vtec kicks on it starts making a clinking noise and it cuts in and out. I was wondering if anyone else has ever had problems with their honda motors?

 

check your oil, if its low it might be causeing the weird vtec engagement. and ive herd either running too rich or lean (dont remember which) causes your cat to go out faster, i might be wrong though. goodluck

 

Lean.

Rich just wastes gas and makes car much boggy.

Lean make plenty big fire.
