having some problems with my 94 integra gsr ? vtec kicks in at about 5 1/2 and makes a weird sound like the car is redlineing at 6 q/2 , to 7 other times it just boggs at 6 1/2 then it kicks in again and pulls hard? please help help!!!

 

is there any check engine lights? check ur motor oil level also

 

Unless your VTEC crossover was changed, it's supposed to kick in at 4400 RPM. At 5800 RPM, the secondary runners open up.

 

did you ever figure out what happn, im having the exact same problem but my oil level is fine so is pressure..please hit me back on this thread if you get it

 

Maybe not much but...I sure hope your pumping 91 Premium gas also.
