I noticed my fan wasn't coming on when I would turn on my ac. Turns out the fun was just sitting there no longer attached to the motor lol. Took it all off and can't figure out exactly how the fan attached to the motor. I see the single 8mm nut that is on the motor stud with a washer that can only go on 1 way due to a flat spot to hold it from spinning and it has about 4-6 little slits cut around the diameter but Im not sure how this washer was attached to the fan, was there prongs that stuck out on the back of the fan that sat in these slits on the washer somehow because the back of my fan has nothing on it. Not sure if they all broke off or melted off or something. anyone have a pick of the back of their ac fan?

Last I knew the fans went on the radiator and not the motor ?

 

when you pull it out it will have either a small nut or a sping clip just like OEM rad hose clamp

 

Fan blade to fan motor.

 

Get another fan.

 

This is all that was there. I tried to rivit the fan onto that washer but that failed. Whats missing?

 

Replace the fan blade - I doubt you will ever get it to stick to the drive washer again. I think it was originally bonded in.

 

i think it goes the fan flipped the other way, then that washer, then the bolt

Thats what I was thinking how they were on there. Wonder how or why it broke off, maybe something fell in and locked it up while spinning. idk. Thanks.
