rpm not working 1995 honda accord v6
There's a single blue wire on the wiring harness in the engine bay near your master cylinder. This blue wire will have a plug on the end that's capped off and taped to the rest of the wiring harness. Find this wire and grab a test light or volt meter.
Ground your test light or DVOM and put the test light probe or positive DVOM probe on the uncapped terminal of the blue wire. Start the car and observe your light, it should be dim at idle and as you increase throttle the light will get brighter. With the DVOM set to RPM, you should be pulling a tach reading off of this wire.
If there's no power going to that wire, then you've got a problem inside your distributor. If there is power going to that wire, then you've got a problem in your gauge cluster.
Gauge cluster is usually the culprit and can be something as simple as a bad ground wire or bad tachometer.
