Tach wire on firewall...
Hey does anybody know if the female part of the connector that's on the blue tach wire is available at the dealership? I'm about to hook up my shift light, but I want to do a clean install and not have to hack/splice into my tach line. TIA.

dude, i have no clue what connector you're talking about... and i highly doubt honda has a part number for just a section of a wiring harness. just tap into the damn wire.

In the engine bay on the driver side there is a blue wire and a plug that goes nowhere. That is the rpm signal for testing purposes.
Why dont you just tap it with a regular tap. Its not gonna mess anything up.
ALso you could tap it right behind the instrument cluster.

sgT,
Thanks, yeah that's exactly the source I'm going to be tapping into. But I'd rather just get the correct plug to connect it into rather than splice into the wire. Oh well, I guess I can always just heat-shrink any exposed wire later if I decide to take the shift light off. Thanks again.

Let me know how it goes, I have my shift light connected there also, when the shift light comes on the tach looses signal/strengh so it drops rpms for a second before I shift. I assume the auto meter bulb is draining alot of juice???? I'm not a wiring expert so I don't know if I can put some sort of inline resitor?
