Battery Starting Issue
Hi,
I have a 1989 Civic sedan, once in a while it wouldn't start until I got a jump. No crank, just a click from the starter. In that last week, this has occurred every day. I checked the battery with a multi-meter, the voltage was around 12.32 volts. I swapped batteries from a Nissan with a voltage of 12.52 volts, I haven't had a problem starting since.
Now the Civic's original battery is in the Nissan, at 12.3 volts it starts every time?
Any idea why the Civic needs a stronger battery to start?
Regards,
Harvey
