Default I need an EF'in help

I have a 1988 Honda civic, with a 1993 D16Z6, I have a problem with ignition, I just replaced the main relay switch, distributor, fuel filter, and still having the Problem. What happens is if I start the car and it's cold, it will start right up, when the engine gets hotter, I turn off the car, start it, and it won't fire up, I will have to wait for the engine to get colder, and it will start up, or else the motor will just revolve ut no ignition.
Please help thank u

Same question, can you hear the fuel pump priming when engine "hot" and do you have spark when engine "hot"?

Also check the ECT sensor, you could be running rich. 94

I'd take a look at the coolant temp sensor. Let your car warm up turn it back off and try to restart it while the sensor is unplugged

I can hear the fuel prime, but I did somehow got a CEL, but it went away, it was code 6 , but I thought the plug was loose, so I unplugged it, then plug it back, connection felt loose but it clicked back, CEL went away for now. So, could it be the ECT switch?, is this what happens when the ECT is has gone bad?

Damn,,,,I need you guys help again, car was running great, but now, it's got CEL, code 4 and code 9, does this mean the sensors are both bad, or the crank and cam shaft pulleys are not aligned correctly?

Could be a bad distributor.

I turned in my distributor, last week for another remanufactured one, before I changed my ECT sensor, I was able to get the timing right back then, but the next day, the timing was off already and the distributor is already turned conter clockwise to the max, the timing mark on the pulley won't even go near the 14 degree mark, car hesitates on accelaration, obviously noticeable on 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th gear, and idle is not consistent, it sounds like it misfires sometimes.

Sounds like you may have put your distributor on wrong. I,m pretty sure that's what is going on. Because you have a CEL that are related to sensors in the distributor.

When I installed the distributor, the "up" marking on the camshaft pulley was in the 12 o'clock position, and the rotor was pointing in the number one spark plug wire. Like I said it was running fine until the next day, the timing went off and threw me code 4 and 9.
