car wont start when engine is hot help
i have a 95 civic with d16z6 past few months when i start the car it runs fine but when i turn it off it will not start up again for 30mins up to 1h30mins it turns over but will not fire up it is getting worse have been told it could be the main relay, distributor, or fuel pump so i replaced all 3 with brand new parts and the problem will not go away someone please help
Have you checked to see if it is a no spark or no fuel problem yet?
Tossing parts at a problem is an expensive way to troubleshoot that problem, you need to narrow it down a little.
I would check the ECT sensor, [not the ECT switch], "info" from the ECT sensor tells the ECU/ECM engine temperature, if it is not working properly the ECU/ECM may "think" engine is cold when in fact it is hot, that will result in a very rich A/F ratio essentially flooding the engine when trying to start it when engine is hot.
How is your fuel milage, poor gas milage is an indication that the ECT sensor is bad, car is always running rich. 94
PS, don't just replace the sensor, test if first.

it is getting spark and gas very poor gas mileage since i have had this problem seems like it is definitely gettin flooded because when it wont start it smells of gas really bad i have an extra e.c.t. sensor will put it on today after work and will see what happens
