I may be wrong, but I think you need to get a OBD-I to OBD-II harness adapter ( i believe skunk2 makes these, as well as various other places..try doing a search), and then the harnesses will plug in just fine..

hope that helps ya!

good luck with the swap!

Man your not going to run into any problems, just use the wiring harness off your old motor and then the only thing that you need to change is the injectors and Distributor. You dont really need too, but i would change back to the obd-1 stuff. The motor is exactly the same just some more stuff you dont need. Basically Just use your old wiring harness, on new motor. You can try 00' dist. but may throw code (checkengine-light) or act funny in VTEC. HTH
anyother ?s ask

well my old motor was stolen, so I dont have a obd 1 motor wiring harness.. I guess I will have to find one if the newer harness does not plug in..

yeah a harness would be great. look down below at my sig.. i can get you one cheaper then skunk2.. email me for details

obd conversion harness are the best way to go, since its just plug and play. not modding or cutting wires. and if you want to sell or go back stock just unplug the harness you bought
