b16a2 wont start after hooking up type r ecu
That ECU has an immobilzer in it. The car wont start.
Also, the location of the fuel pump relay wire is differnet between both ECU's.
So if the immoblizer is disabled and it still doesnt work, then that wire needs to be moved at the harness.

check the helms.
On the 2001 ITR Ecu the Fuel Pump relay is at A15 (green/yellow) wire.
I dont know what kind of car or harness you are using, but find the fuel pump relay wire on your harness and move it to A15.
But if the immobilzer in that ECU isn't taken out, it wont work no matter what you do.

It's not the ECU that decides what redline the engine is. If that were the case, every riceboy would be revving to 19k.
The engine isn't meant to rev those 400 more rpms. It can do yah.. but it's not a very good idea.
Trade that ecu for a CTR ecu.. that will work if this is a 99-00 Si w/b16.

why does he want a higher redline
he probably has stock cams. the stock redline is fine.
and the redline may be DETERMINED by the engine
but its the rev limiter thats set by the ecu.
