Just purchased 07 FBP SI sedan!
I am really excited and got it doe a good deal. It's my 5th Honda in a row but it has a bit higher miles (88k) so I have some questions about the maintenance I plan on doing to it once I pick it up. I am new to the Honda K series so please help me out.
I reviewed the maintenance records and it was dealer serviced throughout it's life. The only real maintenance it has had was regular oil changes, brake fluid changes cabin and air filter, and brake pads.
Some of the tfings I plan on doing are
Coolant flush
Manual trans fluid change
Spark plugs and wires if applicable
Cap and rotor?
I might replace the brake rotors once I inspect them
What else should I check?
Does the SI have a traditional cap rotor and wire configuration?
Does it have EGR ports that get clogged like in the H22?
What other maintenance do you guys recommend?
What type of manual trans fluid does it take?
Sorry for so many questions and thanks in advance.

I would just drain the radiator, fill with water run it and drain and refill with the proper coolant, check the hoses for leaks, don't use any flushing agents some can damage the radiator and hoses.
The trans takes Honda MTF ( 5-20 motor oil in a pinch)
The plugs can be a little difficult to change you need to remove the wiper arms, then the plastics around the lower windshield, then the underside cowl panel, then remove the plug cover plate to get at the plugs there are no wires or rotor or cap to worry about.
No fuel filter either that is a good reason to run better fuels and a fuel system cleaner once and a while.
The trans is easy to drain, from underneath but you might find it more easy to fill the trans if you remove the left wheel, using a long funnel with a hose works good.
The brakes, I would look at everything first, make sure you have good rotor and pad thickness if everything still looks good drive it for a while then you can shop for the best prices.
I never had any egr problems with the 06 si I had before this new one.
Enjoy your Si

instead of honda MTF, instead use GM synchromesh. makes shifts so much better and helps get rid of the annoying 3rd gear grind or help prevent it.
the k series has coil on plug not cap and rotor.

idk if you're comfortable with this, but Honda doesn't recommend changing the plugs until 105,000 miles. Also, check the air filter to see if it's dirty.. that's an easy one!
I wouldn't change the rotors if they don't feel warped. Check the brake pads for wear, though. If the interior has a funky smell coming out of the vents, you might need to change the cabin air filter. I used Honda tranny fluid on my Si with great results, I wouldn't go to Synchromesh if it's not needed.

We don't have spark plug wires (coils instead), cap or rotor.
