Default Is it difficult to remove the AC system from an EJ1?

I am thinking about removing my AC system since it does not hold a charge anymore, (last 15 years, cant go wrong lol). Also the fact that I don`t want to spend $300 on a new compressor. Is there anything special that I need to do other than to discharge the system?

Could be done in less than a Hour. Not hard and dont need nothing special if its already discharged

yeah since its discharged it'll save alot of time.

you basically just remove the compressor, condensor, and evaporator from behind the glove compartment

the only challenging feat will be removing lines because they'll be routed through some nooks and crannies that'll make it difficulty to get through

for real. just ditch the compressor belt and you're set.

Cut the belt is the easiest.

I have an extra compressor if you're interested, came off my car but I installed a turbo so it doesn't fit.
