best k series block to use for all motor need help!
wasup honda-tech i'm trying to go k series and i was wondering what is the best block to use for a all motor build, so far i heard the tsx was really good, but i also heard alot of people using the k24a4 block also, is there that much of a difference in the blocks? currently right now i am stuck with a k20a1 type s transmission, but i was wondering is the k20a1 block strong too? or should i just go out and get the tsx block, i need help fast before i go and buy the wrong parts thanks!
K20A1 is not the engine from the Type S, its from the Honda Stream. It is a 5 speed transmission from what I have read.
With regard to using a K24 bottom end, this thread and the threads linked in it have a lot of good information.
How much are you looking to spend (realistically)?

yea i was thinking of going JE 12:5:1, manley rods do you think that is good for the bottom end, or could i even run higher compression and still be on 93 octane? and i also heard the tsx bottom ends are better because they have oil squirters and i heard it keep all the bearing more lubricated than a normal k24 crv& accord block

Oil squirters are not for lubricating bearings. Look at all the race cars and you will see that most all of them block off the squirters holes or run blocks with out them.

But why do they block them off? I think Acura's R&D dept. has more talent and resources that some half *** tuner who has built 30 motors and thinks he knows his stuff, they have to be there for a reason, if not to cool the piston it is at least going to help lubricate it, No? Why do guys block them off and why did the OEM put them there is the $1,000,000 question!!
