Default Catch can building idea

1 let me start out by saying I work at a welding shop so getting the welding done wont be hard and yes we have one. What I was wondering was I have an old intake pipe that might as well be used as a paper weight cause I have no need for it. What I was wondering was would it be okay to modify it into a catch can. Being intake pipe it's aluminum and about 1/16 thick. I wonder if it would be thick enough to hold under any pressure I am going to put on it beside that welding a top and bottom on it along with all the fitting wont be a problem. To help out if any I'm soon going to be running a d16 fully built with gt3076r turbo and looking at running max boost of 25psi. I do hope this should be in the right forum seeing how this involves welding.

0.0625 wall (1/16) will be enough to hold boost... but a catch can should never see those kinds of pressures... it should only be a slight vaccum in the can.
