b16b in 1995 delsol
ok so i have ordered a 1995 delsol s and i have ordered a b16b for it but i really dont want to mess with all the wiring for the vtec so i was wondering if there was a non-vtec head that i could use with the b16b block?
why would you order a CTR motor and not want the CTR head seriously im sorry when i say this but GTFO
I am also curious as to why you would get a VTEC engine and NOT want to run VTEC? More info on the line of thinking you're using please.

The reason I want to do this is I plan on running the engine under boost and i don't feel safe doing that to the stock engine but the internals on the b16 are much stronger and I cant make since of wiring at all what so ever that why I want to use a nonvtec I would really like it if soone could give me a real answer and stop hating thanks in advanced
OMG. Get it tuned properly and there will be no worries. Boosted going on 3 years with the stock engine with stock internals. B-series can handle up to 300HP on a stock block.
I can tell you've done no real research when it comes to boosting your engine.

Well... if you can't simply wire up at the most 4 wires.. Then I am going to say you sure as hell don't need to boost your motor. If you can't figure out how to wire that, then you shouldn't have even bought a motor. You should have just gone and bought a del sol that is already boosted by someone that actually knows what they are doing.
you don't buy the highest compression motor from honda to boost it, nor do you remove the head, you have this all wrong.
Be smart, but a B18B, attach a tranny with lsd, get some good axles, Hondata and tune it properly

first off it has a dseries motor in it right now which is absolute junk imho and honestly outside of tuning there is absolutely nothing to turboing a car and im going to have someone else tune it anyways
Well if you are getting someone else to tune your car, then get someone else to wire it for vtec as well. It really isn't hard, there are topics and stuff in the FAQs that will tell you how to wire for vtec. It may be a little time consuming but it isn't hard.
ya that doesn't make any sense.. why would u buy a CTR motor then boost it? that defeats the purpose of having a high compression CTR motor... if u want to boost or something why didnt u order a GSR motor... like i honestly dont think you have any idea what your doing or what your talking about... why would u take the head off that motor... why? like there is no reason in this world to take that head off and switch it out unless your a complete idiot... give me that head and ill slap it on a b20 block and ill blow away your boosted CTR/Nontec swap delsol
how about you do this... you swap that b16b motor into your delsol... get someone to wire up vtec then throw an intake, header and exhaust and you are good to go.. imo thats more reliable and less of a headache, and trust me, by doing that youll save yourself the embaressment when everyone laughs at you when u tell them what kind of micky mouse set up you have under your hood...
or why didnt u just buy a k20a to begin with... the cost of a b16b, then another head, and a turbo kit... you should have just gone the OG route and youd have a k20 Delsol blowin doors off 5.0L mustangs all day

I'm locking this seeing as how I don't think it's going to anywhere positive from here.
Like Deetz said use a B16B for boost is not a wise choice. An LS or GS-R swap is a much better choice for boost. Also vtec consists of running 2 wires and a ground, it's not exactly rocket science.
