95 Civic EX - codes 3 and 22, hesitation, and misfires
k so a lot of things are going bad with my car. idk if there all connected or what but if someone could help it'd be greatly apperciated. so i realized it didnt feel like vtec was kicking in so i thought well maybe its the solienoid so i reaplaced that and the pressure switch.. didnt work so replaced it again. still didnt work well then i figued out my cluster didnt have a cel bulb in it so i put one in and it was throwing a code 22. well bout two days l8tr i checked the code again and it was throwing a code 3. well i replaced the map sensor hopeing the code would go away but it didnt. then a lil while after that from now on whenever i start my car in has no idle power like it wants to die. then after bout 10 seconds u can hear the intake kick in and it starts idleing fine but i dont think its cause of the intake. so idk and suggestions. also my car tacks out at 5500 and somtime 6000 rpms. and backfires every once in a while. sorry forgot. car is a 1995 honda civic ex wiht a d16z6

ok i can clean the map senosr but i mean its a brand new one from autozone not even a week old, and the timing belt was replaced about 2 months ago but ill look into it, cant i tur the distributor or something? but the prombel is by the time i start my car, and get out of it the idling problem stops. it only does it for about 10 seconds. i dont understand.
if this happen after they replaced the timing then it could be the problem i had the same problem cuz i didnt put my timing belt right so check it out it could be some other stuff too but be patient

no i replaced the timeing, clutch and waterpump when i did the motor swap bout 3 months ago havent had a problem till now so idk, but im thinking about replacing the head and see what that does but idk
k timing was good, still stumped ha. could maybe i not have enough oil pressure for the vtec to engage? well the way i see it is that its the map sensor becasue vtec wont work if thats throwing a code right? and i replaced the sensor and as far as i no the wires are good. cars are so entertaining.
k update. i put vtec on a toggle seitch. so i got that for the mean time but yesterday i realized it smells like im burning oil, if i was could that explain vtec nit enabling without switch?
