CEL from HELL
Ok... i must be overlooking something easy.
93 civic EX, 95 B16 SiR motor just swapped in. Left the ex harness. Went in smooth and it runs fine. Check Engine Light is throwing a code for vehicle speed sensor. The speedometer works (signal is getting to cluster) VTEC engages (signal is getting to the ECU) i also put the ECU in another car and it didn't throw a code. I replaced the VSS and it made no difference.
I have been messing with this for a while now and i can't figure out why it would be throwing a code. I need to get this car done so i can drive it out to school.
Any one have any ideas... and help would be great

Re: CEL from HELL (highflyin250x)
may be that the plug is not making a connection 100% of the time, jus that split secound to get a cell. when you reset the code will it come back fast, or does it vary? i had a nightmare from hell with a plug problem, that is why i ask.

Re: CEL from HELL (THC07)
no thats the weird part to me too, i was thinking that if it was wiring it would be intermittent, but it comes on immediately and stays on.

Check that the No. 15 (7.5A) fuse is not blown or missing. A blown or missing No. 15 fuse can trigger the VSS trouble code, especially when the wheels are turned.
Otherwise, it is most likely a wiring issue on the engine harnesses.

Re: CEL from HELL (highflyin250x)
i had an issue where if i hit a bump hard the speedo would go to 220kmh and shoot back to normal, after changing the vss twice it turns out the plug on the harness side went bad
