So i am having intermittent SRS lights coming on and off as well as the Radio clipping as if something is making a bad connection somewhere. I have also noticed the the car is running like it has no power.

Vehicle is a 98 Honda civic EX. The PO replaced the Y8 engine with a non Vtec motor.
SRS light will come on when driving but when you come to a stop it goes away. It comes back again when you get going. The Radio seems to also be affected by this as it clips and sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I did the SRS reset but that didnt seem to help. Also, i have no CEL's and anytime i try and trouble shoot the SRS i get nothing.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction as i really hate dealing with electronics and trouble shooting.

 

Does the CEL work?

Is 7.5A dash fuse 15 blown?

Has the alternator been tested?

 

Honestly, i haven't checked. The Alternator works but the starter sometimes acts up. The CeL does work but when i jump the service connector i get nothing.

I'll look at it today when the GF gets home.

Looks like the Culprit was the Alternator. The Voltage regulator was shot and it was over charging the system. It ruined the battery on our way to the OC fair. Changed out the Alternator and now everything is fine.
