Blue smoke problem!!

Default Blue smoke problem!!

I got a gsr motor with ctr piston just got it rebuilt from the machine shop but it's smoking blue smoke only when its warm, and when I stop at a light or if I'm on the highway and I slow down it smokes blue and u can smell that it's oil burning... I put an oem headgasket from golden eagle for 81.5 mm which is the perfect fit .. Please help !! What can be causing these smoke!!???

did u have the head checked when u got it done, its had to tell exactly what it is could be a few "bad machining" things

Only bottom end was at machine shop but head was ok before I did the bottom end!

100% sure its probably leaking valve stem seals.

lol ok then I guess thats not the problem. So its got new rings, valve stem seals, head gasket, and is still burning oil? I would take it back to the machine shop and have them look at it. Maybe a cracked head or block?

Wow tht would be crazy!! But u think it got something to do with the Pcv system?

If it was pcv I don't think it would burn enough to be really noticeable. But you could check it just to rule that out.

I'm assuming you got new rings when you had the pistons installed. Probably should talk to the machine shop.

i think you are having a ring problem be it the put them in wrong or the piston to wall clearence is to much. is the machine shop known to do good engine builds?

Your stock head may have been fine on the old block (as htey have worn out together) but with the block redone it is going to have a machined deck. was the head properly machines aswell? i know this is a far fetch but it is however possible. Also have you checked to see while it is running if you are building up crankcase pressure? Pull off the PCV and see how much blowbye you have.

I called the machine shop they told me tht if the rings were bad it would smoke blue all the time not just when the car is warm. He also told to illiminate the black box and if tht dnt work it could be the valve guides!!......
