Default IAT Sensor?

Hello, I recently bought a 1991 Honda Civic Hatchback, that had a D16Y7 engine swap (For the love of God, I dont know why). Anyways, I recently went to take it to an echeck, and I failed my NOx levels miserably. I put in new spark plugs and added coolant already. Today I purchased a IAT sensor, CEL was throwing code 10. I have 2 questions...1) Where do I hook the IAT sensor up to? and 2) Would a IAT sensor for a d16y8 work in a d16y7? Thanks for the help.

Do you have the IAT setup and what ECU are you running? Also what harness? I am not familiar with EF swaps but I curious as to how this was setup.

From what I can tell, the P30 ECU is from a VTEC Del Sol, so it would look for the IAT to be hooked up. As for the harness, when you installed your cold air intake did you reinstall the 'nipple' in the intake that has the two wire sensor attached to it? If not search on your harness, it should span off from near your distributor plug and go towards your intake.

I don't think you will need to change your ECU however it would be better for you to find out the exact harness situation you have and that way we can backtrack the issues you are having.

Just check out the plug and see if you are throwing any other codes. Also, the IAT sensor goes right onto your intake and a D16Y8 sensor should work as well. Plug it in, reset the ECU, and see if the code disappears. It's a relatively simple fix.

What intake manifold are you using? The Y7's or the original engine?
