Default Del Sol accelerating issue

So I just bought a 1993 Del Sol Si 1.6 Auto. I used to be my roommates car and had a turbo installed but at some point the whole car just turned to junk so we stripped most of the stuff and rebuilt he top half of the motor. So the cracked turbo is gone and the car has been doing well for quite some time until now.

Whenever I'm braking and about to take off there's about a second or two hesitation where it feels like the car has no power and then it starts accelerating. It drives fine after that its just when you basically come to an almost complete stop and try to take off again. When you first start the car its not as apparent as when the engine gets hotter.

It still has the aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, havent put a stock one back on, not sure if that could even be related. Thanks in advance guys.

yes, install stock parts for a stock motor if you want it to run like stock.

Why don't you try it first and then ask? Restore the ENTIRE drivetrain to stock. "Just turned to junk" implies that it was TURNED into junk by the previous owner. it is unknown what the condition of that poor car is now. Turbo on an auto? Of course it can be done, but why? I'm betting it was pretty dogged out.

Well the one from autozone only has two outlets, the adjustable one I have on it has 3. But regardless I believe the problem is acutally the TPS. I just replaced the plugs, cap, rotor, wires. Throttle body cleaned it, etc.

So my question is...where the hell is the TPS? Ive googled and looked and I cant find it..
And secondly in my picture I believe I ripped these cords out and not sure what it actually does? Is this the tps or something else. Thanks in advance...

What did I just break?

Weird vacuum routing..

All the vaccum crap is from the turbo setup and stuff. Try to find a diagram and route everything back to stock without the tees of course.

Had a hard time finding a decent one

I found a diagram for the fuel pressure regulator. However I couldnt find where the "air control boost" or whatever the one coming from the intake nipple goes too. Also there's the one going from a little nipple on the very back (closet to the windshield) that im not sure where it gets routed too. (wont start if its not hooked up.

---Also don't have much experience with cars, trying to learn how to do all this myself. Where is the throttle body exactly? ive looked a picture of what it should look like and tbh all those connects look the same to me

Nvm found the TPS - I got some advice from another guy, he thinks its not the tps and that the fuel injectors might be too big and pumping too much fuel or the ecu is messed up.

...blah I hate this car >.< I've already spent like $1000 trying to repair it and get it to run. It makes no sense. If the car sits for a while, it'll drive for atleast 30-40 minutes without a problem, but then it just starts getting worse as you idle, to the point where it sounds like a lawn mower and doesnt want to take off.

If it has the stock ECU it would be a P28-A51 for a automatic del sol si 1.6.
I wonder if it was chipped for the larger injectors?
I have the same car stock and you don't see many turbo applications on automatics. I think there is a website called turboD16.com. Maybe they have the answer? You might borrow another stock P28-A51 ECU and try it?

Just replaced the caps, rotor, and plugs...seemed like it was working for about 10 minutes and then back to the same issue >.<

Yeah I think there were 2 for the automatic A50 and A51. Any sign that it has been opened and reworked? If you can borrow another one just to try to start the car it might be worth it. ECU's do wear out after 15 years.

Another del sol ecu or another ecu in general? I cant really tell it looks like it's bolted pretty decent, i dont think its been touched. But if the ecu was the issue would the car run so well for the firt 30-40 minutes at a time?
