damn.. that thing will be soooo hard to pull out with bare hands or minimum tools...... just take it to the mechanic.. make sure they drain the oil first..

you have to pull off the black rubber sensor thingy first...that is just the wires that read your stock oil pressure sensor

then once that is off, you need a really big deep socket to take out that oil sensor, i don't think you'll be able to do it by hand....

This is for an ELECTRICAL OIL PRESSURE GAUGE. I just put a oil pressure gauge on my 94 LS and it wasnt that big of a pain. Jack up the car and get underneath (JACK STANDS!!!!!!!) Find the oil pressure senser by the oil filter and pull the rubber grommet loose from the nut, then you can pull the electrical connector off. Its kind of a pain i had to use a screwdriver to pry it off. Then get a big socket (i think i used a 7\8 or 15\16th DEEP SOCKET) and a ratchet to unscrew it. There isn't a lot of room but it came out pretty easy. Then coat the threads of the 1\8th inch tee with some liquid teflon and screw it into the block, same thing with the elctrical sender and then the stock sensor. and then it should be done except for the wiring. Hope this helped.

yeah, take the rubber grommet and slide it off the nut.
it's like a 23 mm socket or something like that...maybe 22mm
it helps to pull your oil filter off to give some more room.
just top off the oil after you're done...

FOLLOW ENDYN'S INSTRUCTIONS.

Use steel braided hose to relieve the stress that the sending unit(s) will be putting on your block.

If you don't, the fittings will crack (or worse) and you will be leaking oil.

This happened to me, so I re-did it the right way.

HTH.
