Default B16A engine in an Integra LS

Woudl it be smart to put the civic si b16a engine into a 94 integra ls. would you help out in a power at all I can get one for $1100 with the tranny, ecu, and every thing else it needs. Has any one heard of this being done on an integra and have any input or comments. Also what other engine swaps are reasonablly cheap around 2k or under and would help out my integra. thanks

i wouldnt swap in the B16 it doesnt have enough torque to pull that integra i would buy that motor 2 just build an Ls Vtec u can use the tranny, ecu, head, and pistons form the B16 to get you started

just my opinion

for 1100 you'll be getting the one with the cable trans, for which you'd have to buy the adapter for... and you'd have no torque. i'd be willing to bet that a gutted b18b integra would beat a b16a integra. 111 lbs isn't enough to propel an integra. the engine was designed for a second gen crx!

That might be the biggest bone head swap ever made. Why would you go down in displacement if you are trying to make more power? LS's are faster than Si's anyway, if you know how to drive. Don't buy that engine. If you really want to be fast, swap in a B18C5 if you can find one, or just a regular B18C1. Then turbo or supercharge.

for around $1500 you can get a gsr long block. Just look around and you will find it. All you need is the motor and ecu. And later on you can swap the tranny for a a b16 or gsr. Dont' forget that you can sell you ls motor to make some money back. Same thing happened to me, i got an ls and regret not getting the gsr. I was gonna sell it but now i decided to swap in a gsr motor.

so a good driver in an ls can beat a good driver in an si???

a friend of mines had one in his teg as something temp. until he got his b18c1 back and the best 1/4 time he could get with the b16 engine was a 16 flat.

don't do that. do an ls/vtec or save up for a turbo.
