I have a b18c1 boosted on a gt30r. The car was just tuned & it made 503whp on 28pounds of boost. I am also running the hondata boost by gear soleniod. Problem is that whenever my car is in 4th or 5th gear & i give it full throttle as soon as its at full boost it just dies. its like as if i completely let go of the throttle but the pedal is still competely at full throttle. The car was not doing this on the dyno either, i tried contacting my tuner but he is out of town. If anyone can help me out with this problem i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

 

The only solution to your problem is to have your tuner re-adjust your boost by gear so your not hitting boost cut.

 

run a datalog in 4th/5th and see if your indeed seeing boost cut or maybe lean protection... My car ran into this problem b/c the dyno conditions are a tad diff. than real street driving... Like if you in half throttle and all of suddenly wot..

 

Yup, dyno loads can differ from the street, so that's probably what you're running into.

PS, I would be really careful about 5th gear boosting.

 

My car did the same thing found out it was leaning out. Didnt have this prob on the dyno had the tuner do a street tune and change my boost in 3rd,4th,5th and now its fine
