When i turn on headlights it sometimes delays and also the headlights and dash lights flicker when they are on. Wondering if anyone can help me with this?

mine does kinda the same thing.. try replacing the dimmer switch.. mine i believe that the plug for the dimmer is messed up from the previous owner.. im going to change it out and it should be ok..

 

Do the climate control lights flicker also?

 

i was thinking its a bad connection in the switch somwhere. Just the dash and headlights flicker

 

How long is the delay?

 

maybe the headlight switch plug is loose... my headlights dont flicker just the dash lights..

 

it depends on the day, when its cold outside sometimes they wont come on for 30 seconds. But since its warm out it only delays like a couple seconds.

 

I have a 2000 honda civic ex. My dash lights and head lights flickered, I checked the 7.5 amp fuse and it was fine. I replaced the alt and battery and it still continued. Then the battery light started to come on and off. Now it only charges at 11.95 volts. I had the alt checked and the battery both are fine. Cleaned all the grounds still have the problem. Need help with this please.

 

Make sure the alternator belt is tight and that you tightened all alternator mount and bracket bolts.

If those are fine, then check the large white wire that runs from the alternator to the hood fuse box. Make sure the connections are tight and there's no corrosion.

 

My every light on my civic flickers like this. Did anyone every find a fix? driving me crazy?

 

Have your alternator tested. If it's fine, create your own thread.
