Default Integra Gsr Exhaust question

Hey guys. The time has come for me to upgrade my exhaust. So far I have purchased a Dc Sports 4-1 Header.

Here is my question. I want to keep my exhaust deep, so I'm going to be keeping my cat. Should I purchase an actual header back exhaust system? or have the exhaust shop just fab piping from the header back? and if so What size? The car is my DD.

Is your current exhaust still stock, in particular, the cat?

Also, you have a budget in mind? That'll drive things a bit too..

The Apexi Noir is supposed to be nice for the sound you seem to want:

Good luck

The exhaust/cat is all stock right now. Reason for putting new on is because it is time lol. The salt and stuff from last winter ate my exhaust really bad.. My budget is around 250.00 :/ like I said though I have the header. I just need a full exhaust system from it back, and I will be putting a stock cat on it. Would just a cheap 2" or bigger cheap ebay system be ok? im not looking to spend $1,100 on exhaust to gain like 16hp lol.

If you are replacing the cat, a stock one will more than consume your budget... if you're going from cat back it's doable. I think that the 'R's and a lot of aftermarket exhausts are 60mm (2.36 in) - and unless you are boosted you can't really benefit from anything bigger. You'll get a nice sound from that size also.

Kinda what I'm getting at, Would somthing plain like this be ok?
remember I am keeping my stock cat, so I'm not too worried that the cheap price will alter the exhaust note too bad

loud annoying junk

see if you can find a used jdm itr cat back section from one of the importers. cost isn't much more and they sound very clean, you also get the pipe diameter increase

if you just want to sound better for the most part, bid on this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GRedd...#ht_500wt_1182

my guess is it could be had for around 200 if someone else doesn't jump in.

it's just an axle back but at least this way you're buying quality

you probably won't beat that deal i posted.

others are the apexi ws2

anything from greddy or hks

most the systems out there are cat backs BUT the good ones ares start around $500

bid on that evo 2 at the last second. i'd go $200-210 which makes $250-260 shipped, if you don't get it for that move on

more for other cars. you get one of these for a corvette or 350z you'll easily spend a grand. steel prices are extremely high right now. hell all commodities are. makes buying any commodity based good expensive.

buy something decent though, you're better off staying stock than getting an ebay sold china system

What's really the difference between a stainless steel $1,000 muffler, and a $80.00 Stainless steel muffler? They are both stainless, so whats making all the difference in price? the baffles inside? Just doesn't make much sense to me.

If you dont understand you shoud do some research. He could not help you out any more then he has unless he paid for it. im not trying to be an *** but... let me see buying that cheep one isnt that bad but if you need to ask about it you should keep ur stock one till you know what is going on in the import world

not even close.

1. the quality of stainless
2. the thickness
3. what the inner baffle is made of
4. how the inner wrap is constructed

seriously, either do what i told you to or do nothing at all. either one is a good idea. that ebay junk isn't

I've got a WS2. The sound is nice -- louder than stock but relatively 'classy' & not obnoxious at all.

It's held up well, also. Five years going in the Northern US and no sign of corrosion.

Yeah, it's not really. You can imagine what would happen if everyone were allowed to make posts like this on every topic that was related to what they wanted to buy.

Check the classifieds section or Ebay if you're interested in buying.
