I have a 02 civic dx and when I start the car the maintenance required light blinks 10 times then goes off. Anyone got any ide as what it could be or how to find out? Thanks

 

This light goes on after a certain number of miles. It is based on assumptions regarding how often you change your Honda's oil. Either change your oil per your own plan, or do so when this light is lit. To turn it off, see http://www.ehow.com/how_5577965_turn...nda-civic.html

 

If i remember correctly, it turns on every 7,000 miles. Its really just a way to remind people to not forget that their car has vital fluids and filters that might need nurturing, so to speak.. Though, changing your oil before you get to that 7,000 mile mark is probably a lot better....
