would a code be thrown for a obd II b16a2 bad cat...or could i have a bad cat, with no code be throw...having acceleration pro's..just checking....maybe its clogged but would i throw a code? there are no codes presently, thx

 

mine tossed a code...60 I believe.
ran perfectly, got great mpg...no noise...nada.
Threw a code and couldnt get rid of it except changing it...

 

take the cat off if ur acceleration goes away clogged cat if it still there it another problem

 

There's a mod involving two spark plug defoulers you can do to trick the ECU into getting an acceptable reading from the secondary sensor. Take first defouler, drill through it. screw the 02 sensor into that, then screw those into the 2nd defouler, and that into the exhaust.

A bad cat will almost always throw code P0420.
