cat throwing a code?
hey guys my 96 civic has thrown a check engine light since I got it and I was wandering since it is obd2 is it would throw a code if there is no cat on the car at all?...I havent got around to hooking up yet to find the problem but i was just curious if having no cat could cause it?

If there's no cat there's no place to plug the secondary o2 sensor into, so yes, it would at least throw a secondary o2 sensor code.
Find out what code(s) you're throwing:
