Default tranny mount q's

input shaft bearing going on my 96 dx hatch 5spd. picked up a 95 ex 5spd from a guy and he mentioned I would need to swap out my tranny mounts for it to bolt in? I was busy looking over the tranny before I paid him and it sort of didn't sink in until now that he said that? anyone know for a fact one way or another is I will need tranny mounts from a 95 to put this in my hatch?

Have pics of both? I think both trans mounts are the same. To the best of my knowledge, only the driver's side mount changed

no pics. just have my car with stock tranny in it, and the 95 ex one I got. guess I'll try to take a good look when I get it on the lift to swap it out and do the clutch. BEFORE I take it out. would suck to take it apart and not have the right mount to put the new one in. which is what "I am trying to avoid

the difference is 92-95 has a craddle welded to the side/frame and the rubber mount bolts to tranny. The 96-00 is opposite, craddle bolted to tranny and rubber mount bolted to side/frame. The tranny mounts will enter-change 92-00. You just need the mounts for the year of the car.

No. You're not understanding this at all. You need to reuse the '96 - '00 Mounts you have, the bolt pattern on the top of the transmission is the same, but '92 - '95 Civics used a different style mount than '96 - '00 Match the mount to the car, not the tranny.
