Default Owners with Rear Upper Strut Bar...

Do you feel the car is stiffer?
Is it worthwhile to get one?
Anything else about them?

I was looking at the usdm itr rear upper bar.

Yes you can feel the difference, especially if you have a rear swaybar.

It's not a huge difference, but it's there.

If I had to do it over again, I'd save up a bit and get shocks before that.

my own observations:
yes, the rear is stiffer, creaks less
i think it is worthwhile to get one

don't bother. not really worth the money.. it's more of a traditional mod.. sort of like a K&N filter.. it's customary for most modified cars to have one, even though it doesn't really do anything if you really do feel something after installing it, it's probably your wallet talking

saying it's a traditional mod and that it's customary leads me to believe you mod your car according to what everyone else does. and i must agree with you, since the majority of people who get the rear strut braces do not autox/road race their cars to even notice the difference and improvement in chassis rigidity.

There is no such thing as a usdm rear upper bar. It's the JDM bar that you're thinking of.

Semantics, I know... Just FYI....

I can feel the difference with the handling with sharp turns or changing lanes fast. I have Mugen in the front and Spoon in the rear.

Just wonderin, anyone here want to trade Mugen rear upper for my Spoon bar?

I do feel the difference when driving on rough, uneven roads.
Like someone said earlier, I also noticed less creaking on the back.

I'm a "spirited" driver and I have to say that I felt a difference with mine. I only paid about $30-40 for one off of E-Bay and I'm happy with it.

I wouldn't waste the extra money on a JDM ITR rear one though...unless you're concerned about the looks. the rear ITR one is around $140...ouch!

Hope this helps...

I find that most people who ask whether to BUY a "tuning" part, dont know how to tune a chassis accordingly. Drive your car and figure out what you need, then try different set ups to see if YOUR requirements are satisfied (show, circuit, gymkana,1/4 mile). Personally, I race FF and from my experience, increasing torsional rigidity with a balanced chassis and tuned suspension will help increase cornering Gs depending on YOUR driving style (under/over st.)...

I definately felt a difference with the rear one. More oversteer than understeer now and maybe somewhat of a quicker turn in.

During hard cornering there is definitely a difference.

I waited and replaced,
Sway Bar ITR
Upper Strut bar Bennen
Lower Tie Bar Bennen
Bushings
all at once and then you can notice the difference. My highest diff. was the exit speed and directness. I also have a six point roll cage and gutted rear though.
