are you talking about swaybar or strut bar?? a rear swaybar makes a lot bigger difference than a front sway bar, but a rear strut bar makes a smaller difference than a front strut bar, imo

strut bar. im not saying theres less body roll. it wont do that. im saying the rear felt more together and turning became more precise. lane change became quicker. nothing major, but did more than than the front bar.

Are you sure, I noticed very little difference w/ my prelude.. And thats with r compound tires that will put much more stress on a chassis.. Front helped a shitload though

A rear strut bar really won't make a difference, i swear! Are you sure you don't mean rear swaybar?

I can't imagine why a rear strut bar would do much. I mean you've got the rear deck right there, a major stress bearing member. Now in the engine compartment, there's nothing tying the front suspension mounting points together, so the front strut tower bars do a lot. Now a fat rear sway bar will do wonders for reducing understeer...
Rear strut bar certainly won't hurt and looks nice if you don't have a big sub box back there...

Sway bars are also called anti roll bars.

a rear tie bar could be , a. an upper strut tower bar or, b. a lower tie bar. neither of these is a anti-sway bar or anti-roll bar. a upper strut tower goes from onestrut tower to the other both of wich are in the trunk. a lower tie bar braces the points where the rear lower control arms mount to the chassis. a sway bar connects the lower control arms and uses points between so it may act as a lever (for lack of a better discription) between the rear wheels/tires.
I just added a rear tie bar when I installed the coilovers so I dont know how much it helped alone. But my car spun twice at the auto-x last week, but when I let the suspension do the work and seemingly went slow I ran preytty fast, check out the times in the link below, it was the most recent event at sandhill.
