Default untuned jrsc si is sluggish

I am taking my jrsc si to get tuned on chrome so i took out the jrsc fmu. my car has a basemap for a tune right now and when i try to accelerate the car revs up but doesnt move very well. Would that be caused from the car not being tuned?

This is a joke right? Get it tuned. Then tell us how things are working.

All you need to do do is use your stock ecu! stock injectors! tie open the bypass valve, just use some wire and tie it open! then drive normal to your tuner, no boosting or racing ect. and install your injectors and chiped ecu there and roll it in and tune it! thats all! i did this with my first JRSC gsr, drove 2 hours to churches. use a injector harnes like the password jdm ones for easy injector wiring.

The MAP is probably not plumbed correctly to read boost. Are you getting any CELs when it stumbles?

You're not serious are you?

OP, have a little patience man. Not having it is liable to cost you quite a bit in the end.

No joke.

While on FMU and stock ECU the map on the TB is fine. But while using engine management the ecu needs to see the boost. Since the SC is after the TB, why would there be boost at the TB? He's not pushing air through the TB like a turbo.

Last time I checked, the stock map "plumbing" was milled directly into the TB. At least on the Dseries it is.

that why he needs a vacuum source that sees boost so chrome can add fuel

Because a JRSC doesnt compress the air until after the TB. So the stock location does not work

Totally understand that haha, what I'm saying is that you can't just T a line in, you're going to need to get one of those billet manifolds to bolt the stock sensor in along with a blockoff plate for the stock location.

Not to mention address the second problem, untuned lol.

The bottom of the map sensor is perfect for a vacuum line. He said he has 2 so 1 at the stock place and 1 off the boosted vacuum line
