Default obd1 gsr with obd2 ecu

ok i was just wondering how a obd1 gsr would run with a obd2 p72 ecu? because one of my friends said i might have a obd2 ecu and thats why my car sucks under acceleration and is running a lil ruff and sometimes goes into limp mode for no reason and the engine will die, but another person told me the vacuum lines might just be hooked up wrong?

DON'T USE IT. The OBDII ecu has crank sensor and that will throw a code in a heartbeat. Plus, the plugs at the ecu are NOT THE SAME.

What do you mean you might have an OBD2 ECU. What car is this in? We need a bit more info here.

I might be a lottery winner too. But I need to check my ticket first.

Check your ECU before you start assuming things.

is a 93 del sol with a obd1 gsr swap, the onlt code its throwing is for the o2 sensor. The car is constantly going into limp mode and cant figure out why, the acceration sucks even when its not in limp mode. my friend that had a gsr civic and now has a gsr teg even said its really weak. thats who told me the guy who did my swap might have accidently put in a obd2 ecu not knowing they had different p72s? is that possible or would the wiring harness not plug into a obd2 ecu? the only other thing ive heard is vacuum lines in the wrong places and help would be appreciated thanks

It wouldn't just plug in you would need a conversion harness and it would be throwing more codes than just O2 sensor. Fix the O2 code and see how it runs.

u can use it but u have to buy a jumper harness a obd1 to obd2. worth doing? no u are better off getting a chipped P28 or P72 that is obd1 which prolly will take care off some of the issues u may having

Ok so then its probly not the ecu? then could the idea of the vacuum lines being mixed up be the issue if anyone ever heard of someone doing that? ive changed plugs wires dizzy cap and fuel filter iabs are wired correctly and i have the knock sensor wires correctly.
